CARE-GET – Programme for Entrepreneurs and Startups in Haskovo with Funding Opportunities for the Best Projects

Haskovo officially launched the “CARE-GET – Programme for Entrepreneurs and Startups in Haskovo”. The programme aims to develop the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, support startup companies, and stimulate innovation in the region.
The event brought together representatives of local and national authorities, businesses, educational institutions, entrepreneurs, young people, and organizations from Haskovo and the wider region.

The Mayor of Haskovo Municipality, Stanislav Dechev, recalled that at the launch of the CARE-GET project, it received the highest praise from the Head of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria, Yordanka Chobanova, who described CARE-GET as “a project of the future”.
“And it truly is a project of the future. The entrepreneurial programme proves that. Business is the future of our city, and young entrepreneurs are the people who will change our environment and the way we live together. This is the essence of CARE-GET – our bold idea that united us in directing our efforts towards young people, creating conditions and opportunities for them to realize their business ideas and dreams,” said the Mayor of Haskovo Municipality, Stanislav Dechev.
The CARE-GET programme offers opportunities for the development of business ideas and startup companies through:
practical training courses;
mentoring support;
an accelerator programme;
funding opportunities for the best projects.

Georgi Tabakov, Chairman of Bulgaria Economic Forum, presented the practical entrepreneurship training module and its role as a first step for people with ideas and startup companies.
Petko Gruev from LIP Trade Ltd. presented the CARE-GET Mentorship Programme, aimed at supporting business ideas and early-stage entrepreneurial projects.

Assoc. Prof. Tanya Paskaleva, PhD, Director of the Haskovo Branch of Trakia University, highlighted the opportunities provided by the Accelerator Programme, which is focused on startups in the fields of healthcare, medical technologies, and care-related solutions.

The CARE-GET Programme also provides opportunities for grants for innovative ideas.
The Mentorship Programme will support 30 participants from various economic sectors, with 7 projects receiving funding of EUR 7,500 each.
The Accelerator Programme is aimed at startups in healthcare, medical technologies, and care-related services, with 5 innovative projects receiving funding of EUR 20,000 each.

The programme is part of the CARE-GET project (“Collaborative Advancement for Renewed Education, Generation, Economy and Technology Transition”), implemented with the support of the European Urban Initiative (EUI) and the European Regional Development Fund.
