CARE-GET presented in Siena

The team of Bulgaria Economic Forum participated in the Transfer Partners Meeting under the CARE-GET project, held from 6 to 8 May 2026 in Siena, Italy. The event was hosted by Municipality of Siena – a transfer partner within the project.

The meeting brought together representatives of the partner organisations and institutions involved in the implementation of the project, with the aim of exchanging experience, presenting good practices and discussing the next steps related to the transfer plans within CARE-GET.

During the working sessions, the partners discussed the progress of the transfer plans, the future roadmap of the project and the opportunities for implementing innovative solutions in the transfer municipalities – Siena (Italy), Komotini (Greece) and Druskininkai (Lithuania).

As part of the programme, participants visited several innovation and research centres in Siena, including Toscana Life Sciences, Siena Imaging and Ikigai Hub, where good practices in the fields of health innovation, digitalisation and support for start-up ecosystems were presented.
The programme also included a visit to University of Siena, where participants were introduced to the activities of the Santa Chiara Lab and the Engineering Department of the university. Innovative approaches in research, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and cooperation between academia, business and public institutions were presented.

The CARE-GET project was also presented to a wider audience during the “Stati Generali della Salute” conference, dedicated to health policies, where topics related to digital innovation and artificial intelligence in healthcare were discussed. The forum highlighted current trends and good practices aimed at the development of innovative healthcare solutions and the promotion of technology transfer.
