Bulgaria Economic Forum Launches Entrepreneurship Training under the CARE-GET Project
On 20, 21 and 22 October 2026, the first part of the “Skills and Competencies for Business Development” training took place at the Haskovo Branch of Trakia University. It brought together 28 participants, who took their first steps towards strengthening their knowledge and skills for developing and implementing business ideas.

The programme takes a practical approach and is designed for individuals with business ideas, entrepreneurial teams and start-ups seeking to structure their plans and identify the next steps in their development.
The main objective of the training is to help participants turn their entrepreneurial ideas into coherent, well-founded business development projects. The programme covers the entire process, from analysing a market problem and defining a value proposition to developing a business model, preparing a budget and presenting the project.

The main topics include:
analysing a problem and developing a business idea;
building a sustainable business model and validating market potential;
digital transformation and the use of ICT solutions;
structuring a business development project with clear objectives, activities and expected results;
budgeting and defining measurable performance indicators;
preparing to present a business idea convincingly to an expert audience.

The training combines theoretical knowledge with practical assignments and independent work. It focuses on applying what participants learn to their own ideas, enabling them to identify prospective customers’ needs, assess the resources required and plan their business development realistically.

The programme also helps participants prepare for the mentoring and acceleration support opportunities available under CARE-GET. It strengthens their readiness to develop and present business development projects as part of the project’s subsequent activities.

The next part of the training will take place in November 2026, with further entrepreneurs due to receive training in January – March 2027.
The training is part of the CARE-GET Programme for Entrepreneurs and Start-ups in Haskovo. The programme is part of the CARE-GET project (“Collaborative Advancement for Renewed Education, Generation, Economy and Technology Transition”), implemented with the support of the European Urban Initiative (EUI) and the European Regional Development Fund.
