On October 15, 2025, a pilot entrepreneurship course was held at the branch of Trakia University in Haskovo, organized by the Bulgaria Economic Forum (BEF). The event aimed to validate a short entrepreneurship course developed by the Serbian partners INOSENS from Novi Sad within the SpinIt project, and adapted specifically for medical students in Haskovo.
The course included a theoretical part covering the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, marketing, financing of small and medium-sized enterprises, and the application of artificial intelligence in modern business. The practical part focused on the Business Model Canvas, where 14 students, divided into four groups, created and analyzed different business models, including competitor analysis and risk assessment related to their ideas.
At the end of the course, participants completed a survey to evaluate the content and applicability of the training. The results showed high engagement and satisfaction, with students highlighting the practical exercises as particularly useful for developing their entrepreneurial thinking.
The pilot course supports BEF’s mission to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among young people and students in Haskovo, while also creating opportunities to participate in the upcoming larger project by BEF and Haskovo Municipality in the field of telemedicine (CARE-GET). This allows students and young professionals to apply their learning in practice and contribute to the development of innovative healthcare solutions.
